Reading

I love books. I love reading. There was a time when I hated both. That changed when I was about 14 years old and found a copy of Stephen King’s Pet Cemetary on my school desk. To this day I don’t know who left it for me, but I am in their debt!! From that day on I’ve always had a book or two by my bedside.

What’s on my bedside table:

This changes so quickly it’s become pointless to try and update it on a regular basis.

Just a few of my favorites:

The Awakening, by Kate Chopin – Love this! I’ve read it a few times now.

A Room with a View, by E.M. Forrester – I can’t even remember what made me read this but its wonderful!

Twilight, by Stephanie Meyer – Yes, Young Adult, but it wasn’t suppose to be originally. I read most everything Vampire related.

The Algebraist, by Iain M. Banks – Phenomenal Science Fiction! I’m planning on picking up some of his other books.

Dune, by Frank Herbert – A classic book that I read when I was 14 yrs old. I still quote the book to this day.

The Women who Loved Reindeer, by Meredith Ann Pierce – I really love her Vampire Trilogy; which I read when I was a teenager. Soon after I picked up this book of her’s and it was one of the first books that ever made me cry at the end, so it’s on my list.

Auralia’s Colors, by Jeffery Overstreet – A great Fantasy novel that I read last year. I haven’t quite gotten into the sequel though; Cyndere’s Midnight.
